Trestles

Trestles is a great swimming spot that few Chico people know about. For this reason it is awesome.

There's no need to fight the bitches and bros for a spot of turf in Upper Bidwell Park when you know that Trestles is already waiting for you. The locals are friendly, and there's never more than five or six people around.

Be smart. Lock your bikes and don't give anyone a reason to break into your car. Call me a pessimist, but I don't trust people anyway.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving break was exceptionally fun this year, with a family trip to Yosemite, two different Thanksgiving dinners, getting to see Ana and relaxing with friends. All in all, it was the best thanksgiving break I've had in years!

We stayed in a little cabin in Foresta, just above and outside Yosemite Valley. The cabin was really warm and cozy, but the owners seemed to be worried about everything.

They taped up notes on almost every surface warning about not burning down the cabin and advising how to avoid, in their words, "pissing off your hosts." We all got some laughs from it, but it sounded like they have had some disrespectful guests in the past.
