I've always wanted one of mission workshop's backpacks since I heard about them nearly a year ago. I heard only good things, but have always been put off by the price tag. Yesterday, Nick and I rode into the city and stopped by to check out their warehouse-store on Rondel. We rolled up, stashed the bikes, and stepped in to one of the coolest stores I've seen in awhile. The staff was super friendly and I got a lot of solid info about the backpacks and ended up deciding on the Vandal. After riding around for just twenty or so minutes, I was in love with my vandal! With its weather-proof, expandable, adjustable, full of pockets, handmade tough construction, and lifetime warranty, I cannot praise it enough. As you can see I got it in blue, which is a color I had not seen before (and was told yesterday a color that they didn't make many backpacks with)...not sure if that's true or not but regardless, check out the vandal's capabilities below

roll top opens to reveal a massively deep pocket
vandal with roll top rolled and in its compact state

expandable!

there's a LOT of space capability

there's 4 external pockets. 2 outermost, and 2 which unfold for weather protected zipper access.

an internal carbon frame keeps the shape and comfort

grabbed some stickers while we were there yesterday

All in all I love the functional, simplistic look of the Vandal and I can't wait to put it to real use in the driving rain this coming year at school. Thanks mission workshop!

After an insanely hot and humid week, I got back to the comfortably mild bay area late last night. We were all tired as hell, but glad to have gotten to see some of the family this summer. Family was chill, D.C. was sweet, and getting to see my sister was great. Shes pretty much a washington d.c. local now! I took a whole lotta pictures and going through them all is proving tedious, but still enjoyable. I'll have a good long post in the next couple days with some quality shots.
