winter break
The past couple of days here in the Bay Area have been a sunny relief from the recent weeks and their constant rain. I've been having a lovely break, which included a very nice Christmas, but very few pictures! I really need to make more pictures, but good news, I finally own a tripod!

Vivitar EF-35
I bought a camera at Thrift-Town called a Vivitar EF-35 for $2 over Thanksgiving break and shot a roll of random stuff with it, not sure if it would even work. I developed and scanned the roll today, and the pictures turned out! You can't ask for much more out of $2, I love it!

I dig this camera, and I love the pictures it takes! I'll be loading another roll or three over winter break for sure.

thanksgiving break
For the past week i've been in the Bay Area spending time with family and enjoying a break from the Chico lifestyle. Today we took some family pictures for a Christmas card, they turned out nice!

I bought a $2 thrift-store-camera a few days ago and filled it with B&W film. I'll develop it next week, I'm curious to see if the photos will turn out, if they do, I'll post them for sure.

symbolism.
We had the critique of our symbolism assignment today, and I'm actually quite stoked on how my photographs turned out. The series is a portrait of my friend and roomie Derek Kissling, otherwise known as Slimy, Sloopy, Dokus, Slimy D, Slippy, as well as many other names. The theme is more or less - "College, as experienced at Chico State." The prints look fantastic and I'm glad I put some thought and time into this project. Enjoy

halloween in chico
I somehow managed to survive another Halloween weekend in Chico, as usual it was completely wild! I brought out the camera for a little bit, but didn't take many pictures due to the beers I was drinking. All in all the weekend ended up being fantastic.

Halloween is always insane, but a lot of fun, and I'm glad we all got through the festivities safely and had a dope time. I'm heading back to the Bay this Friday and I'm not gonna lie, after this weekend, I'm definitely ready for a low-key one back home.

new build!
I love bikes, and especially building up bikes, it's so much fun! Something about putting together a bike from scratch is just super rewarding and makes the bike special. I'm close to done with this Schwinn sprint I recently acquired. All I'm waiting for are the bars to show up and it'll be ready to go!

Charge's new seat "the bucket," in outrageous pink

Can't wait to get it completely finished, I'm running it fixed now but eventually it'll be a single-speed with brakes, since I hope to give it to Ana. Once all is done I'll post an update.
